GDI is a leading commercial drywall and interior systems contractor in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, specializing in high-quality, complex wall and ceiling assemblies. With extensive experience, technical expertise, and a skilled workforce, GDI delivers precision, efficiency, and dependable execution, making us a trusted partner to bring projects to life.

GDI supplies more than 8 million square feet of drywall per year to commercial and residential projects.

Today, GDI operates primarily in the commercial, multi-family, and residential construction sectors across Saskatchewan and Manitoba, partnering with many of the region’s most respected general contractors and homebuilders.

The company delivers comprehensive interior systems, including batt and blown-in insulation, acoustic ceilings and wall panels, steel stud framing, and traditional drywall and taping services.

With offices in Winnipeg, Regina, and Saskatoon, and project experience extending from Thunder Bay, Ontario, to Alberta, GDI is supported by a dedicated administrative team of over 25 professionals and an on-site workforce exceeding 300 skilled tradespeople. Committed to safety and quality, GDI maintains COR certification and consistently delivers high-performance interior solutions under demanding construction schedules, using only premium building materials.

Gypsum Drywall Interiors Ltd. (GDI) will proudly celebrate its thirtieth anniversary in 2027, marking three decades of consistent growth and industry leadership since its establishment in 1997.

• In 2012, GDI incorporated with Davenport Interior Ltd., strengthening its operational capacity and positioning the company for strategic expansion.
• In 2014, GDI partnered with Qualico, one of Western Canada’s largest fully-integrated, privately-owned real estate development companies, and further expanded its presence by opening its Regina, Saskatchewan office.
• The company continued its upward trajectory in 2015 with the acquisition of North Star Spray Foam and the introduction of supply and installation services for attic insulation.
• In 2019, GDI entered a new phase under renewed leadership and management, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence.
• Building on its diversified service offerings, GDI launched intumescent and cementitious fire-rating coatings in 2021.
• Most recently, in 2025, the company strengthened its Saskatchewan footprint with the opening of a new office in Saskatoon.
